Route: Nagercoil -----> Puthery -----> Thittuvilai ----->Alagiyapandiapuram -----> Thadikarankonam ----->Keeriparai ------> Kalikesam
Cross the bridge in keeriparain ,we will find ourselves at the 'V' junction of two roadsLeft leads to Kalikesam , the right leads to Vattaparai and Balamore Estate.Take the left one and travel (about 2 Km) till the end of the road.
Kalikesam Welcomes us.
The common travellers stops here. From here the real adventure trekking can be started.There is a road that goes thru the think greenish forest with loads of elephants , leopards n python.
This place is full of beautiful birds , butterflies , rare plants / trees.If u r a risk driven trekker , go by yourself.Otherwise try to find the help of local tribal people whom you may ( or maynot ) find on your travel.There is no restrictions to enter the forest.
The forest path goes parallel to a big river , which in hot climate is more good for trekking people ..because there are loads of small/big swimming pool :) in between the rocks of the river.If raining , it's big challenge to swim on this river.I feel this place is excellent for water rafting , when river is having loads of water.
At any place of the path, you can find small paths that leads you to the river from the from the forest road.Also in hot climate you can trekk thru the river since there are big stones in river which helps you to walk and the flow of water is not strong
